Time passes, and things change, but Bataleon`s Evil Twin is always there! This one is an absolute must-have board if you are serious about park snowboarding. We got a bit adventurous and went to Jackson Hole to test out the Bataleon Evil Twin plus version.
It did not disappoint. We absolutely loved the model because there is more snap to it compared to the original Evil Twin which means it is more suited for big jumps.

This snowboard is great not just for the park, but for the resort and pow as well. Seems like all types of terrain and conditions go well with it. The plus model is the enhanced version of Evil Twin with more carbon incorporated within to make it more responsive but maintained not to make it heavy. The board has a faster base and is lighter, so the pressing gets easier and the pop is incredible! Do not think it over, you just cannot go wrong with Bataleon.

If you haven`t got the chance to ride this bad boy, then you do not understand the versatility and all-terrain shape this model provides. It features the Wah-Pow! It gradually becomes a reversed camber before reaching the nose and tail. This makes the transitions fast and gives better overall control.

Mega Merc is ideal for all mountain freeride and powder snowboarding, but will do just as well in park rides, and more than good in performance rides. It is a directional twin, aggressive MTN camber board that`s smooth rather than snappy. The shape makes it perfect for deeper snow, and the rocker ends give you the float when you want it.
The carving was really easy to do, but I preferred short carving. The gliding and stability of this board made the ride effortless, so if you want some aggressive stiff board going down the mountain, this should be your choice.

Stone Ground Base High-end sintered 4000 Ptex base material this model uses is more durable, harder and faster than extruded.
Performance: Core High strength. Aspen is combined with Bamboo and lightweight Paulownia wood to provide the perfect balance of strong and light.
Jed Andersen`s choice is Kink, so that should say a lot about this board especially when it comes to jibs. The style of this snowboard is going to catch your eye because it`s so fun, with cool graphics and lots of colours. It is a traditional camber board, but you will notice some rocker elements on the ends (the nose and tail are a bit curvy).
With its medium flex, it is great for both riding in the park and doing some freestyle tricks, but it is also good if you wanna shred the mountain.

Since it has a softer flex it is going to be easy to press but at the same time this board will allow you pop when you need it. Ollies were quite easy to do as well, but keep in mind that this Ride Kink goes progressively stiffer as you come closer to the middle of the board. You get most of the flex on the tail and nose and you can twist it to a certain decent level (has a bit of torsional flex).

You can do lots of pop without the hassle and shred powder going super fast. The board glides and gives great speed, but is also very stable and you can try park tricks of your choice. It is a bit on the stiff side, so we would not recommend it for beginners, it is more intermediate and board ideal for resort and back country.

Some of the testers did say it could be a bit stiffer, but it did not make an issue.

Well, this is certainly one of the best boards on the market these days and you will make a great choice if you opt for this Capita model. It is designed for performance and park rides, but works awesome for urban, powder and all-MTN styles as well. The twin flex and camber type allow you to get the pop when you need it and give a high level of predictability and response. Underfoot is positive camber with Wah-Pow! Flat Kick technology at the ends (just like the Mega Merc).

The amount of flex is pretty decent and the stability is more than solid.
You can really let yourself down the hill and enjoy some high-level speed without worrying about the board. This board really shines when it comes to short and medium-level carves, so if you love carving, you are definitely going to love this Capita model!

Marketed as highly versatile for all styles, we do think it is maybe not the best option for park rides. Some of our members found it a bit too stiff, so this board might be difficult to handle and hard to control for beginners and lower intermediates.

Shiloh Camber is snappy enough, can do jumps with it, and you can get the pops easily. The carving and gliding were also a trait of this board, you can really enjoy speedy rides. We did get a part of bumpy terrain and that wasn`t an issue, which is a plus. This board maybe isn`t the best choice for those deep pow days, because we have found it is a bit hard to balance and control the ride in the deeper snow. It has to do with the shape of the board, it misses some elements of the rocker to make it float better.

In our opinion, not the ideal deck for some deep snow conditions, but works pretty solid in some shallow pow. It is not too difficult to handle and control, but we wouldn`t recommend it to total beginners. It is not the snappiest model out there, but it gives you just what you need. It was super fun carving on this model and the turning was done effortlessly. I would for sure give this one 10/10 for carving (when we talk about mid-flex twin boards it totally deserves it).

What we liked the most is the construction, because it feels like a typical board, even though it is made out of two connected parts. That is really amazing! We wouldn`t call it a master of the pow, but showed some decent capability when handling the shallow powder, even great at some points. The improved tech of the core made it easy to do some carving, especially the short carves. Slashing and turning came effortlessly as did the ride through bumps and uneven terrain. This is a board that is basically ok for every style and terrain, but doesn`t offer anything spectacular. It is quite solid for everyday use and has to give something to every snowboarder who rides it.
